The United States Association of Gymnastics (USAG)
Arizona State Meet for women's Levels 6-10 took place this weekend at Rawhide
in Chandler, AZ. The event was run by
the Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics and Dance Center. Over 450 gymnasts from across the
state participated in the three day event.
TOCA sponsored the event and our own Dr. Amy Overlin was present
throughout the weekend to provide medical care to the participants. State champions were crowned in multiple
levels and age divisions during the event.
In addition, for levels 7-10 the state meet serves as the qualification
meet for the Regional 1 Championships that will be held in multiple locations
during the month of April. Arizona is a
hot bed of gymnastics talent and numerous athletes were able to qualify on to
the Region 1 Championships. We would
like to congratulate all the athletes on an amazing state meet and wish all the
representatives for the state of Arizona the best of luck at the Region 1 Championships!
